Responsibilities:
- Practice Launch and Development: Initiate and direct the Intellectual Property Practice focusing on trademark and copyright law. The role includes strategic planning practice development and nurturing client relationships. The Equity Partner will be tasked with drafting and executing business plans aimed at establishing and expanding the practice area aligning with the firms strategic objectives.
- Team Leadership and Development: Build mentor and manage a specialized team of intellectual property attorneys and support staff promoting an ethos of excellence continuous learning and professional growth. The Equity Partner will play a crucial role in talent acquisition team performance and cultivating a workplace culture that values inclusivity and peak performance.
- Expert Client Representation: Offer toptier legal representation in all aspects of trademark and copyright law providing sophisticated advice and creative solutions to complex legal challenges. Responsibilities include direct involvement in significant cases strategizing leading negotiations and representing clients before courts and administrative bodies.
- Business Growth: Spearhead the practices growth by leveraging personal and professional networks identifying and seizing new business opportunities and elevating the firms stature within the intellectual property domain. The Equity Partner will lead marketing initiatives contribute to thought leadership and enhance client engagement efforts.
- Collaborative Firm Leadership: Engage in crosspractice collaboration to deliver comprehensive legal services to clients integrating intellectual property strategies with broader business objectives. As a senior member of the firms leadership contribute to overarching strategic planning policy development and key decisionmaking processes.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to practice in Colorado.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in intellectual property law with a strong emphasis on trademark and copyright matters. A substantial track record of leading teams and managing a significant portfolio of business is highly desirable.
- Proven ability in developing a practice area including strategic planning team building and business development.
