Major Responsibilities: The Development Coordinator is responsiblefor providing primary support to the Chief Development Officer as well as handlinggift processing and assisting with general administrative and office managementfunctions within the Development Office. Maintains and updates individual recordsin the donor and alumni database in Raisers Edge. The development coordinatorworks with current students to increase student engagement meets a participationgoal of philanthropic donations from students and positions students for futuresupport to the Institute.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide support to Chief Development Officer and primary directors in the office including schedule and meeting management reimbursement timekeeping and other administrative functions.
Manage gift processing from data entry to receipts and thank you letters. Adhere to gift processing procedures and protocols and ensure timely submission of necessary information to Partners Finance and/or Partners Development.
Maintain accurate records in the fundraising database (Raisers Edge) and in central filing system for donor and alumni files updating as needed.
Office liaison with students to greater engage with development activities meets a modest participation goal of philanthropic donations from students and positions students for future support including special events class gift fundraising and stewardship activities including collaborating with internal colleagues to execute STAT Day (students today alumni tomorrow)
Manage Boston Marathon fundraising program to raise current use funds if fundraising bibs are received goal to be determined annually with manager based on the number of bibs received from the BAA
Provide general administrative support for the department such as sorting mail ordering office supplies invoices travel and reimbursement etc.
Provide staff support for Institute projects and events both onsite and offsite (e.g. Commencement fundraising events). Activities may include processing event registrations generating attendee lists name tags and coordinating logistics with Operations and outside vendors.
Provide staff support for one or more committees as well as serve as departmental representative on internal committees or task forces as needed.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Fiscal/Budget Responsibility:
Handles check requests as appropriate.

Fastpaced office environment working with important constituents (donors) as well as program directors trustees and alumni.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree.
Minimum of 23 years related work experience.
Prior experience in a development office and/or university or college setting is preferred.
