- Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
- Previous medical billing experience is required preferably with knowledge of coding and IDX system(s).
- Proficiency in third party reimbursement billing and collection processes required. Flexibility and willingness to learn multiple systems.
- Ability to work well under pressure and to handle sensitive information and multicultural matters.
- Excellent judgment skills with the ability to interface effectively with multinational patients guests and payor sources.
- Excellent interpersonal communications and organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills a must.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Multilingual skills preferred.

Under the supervision of the Program Director the Billing Patient Services Coordinator III is responsible for proactive management of the billing process. Incumbent will support and coordinate the access and admitting functions of the International Patients which include but is not limited to:
- Developing estimates and collecting and deposits payments initiating transfer of funds to Patient Accounts or appropriate source.
- Receiving verifying and managing letters of guarantee from Embassies. Confirming verification of benefits from domestic and foreign insurers.
- Preparing billing summaries and compiling claims for submission to patient and/or payor.
- Responding to patient billing and collection inquiries and reviewing patient accounts in a timely manner.
