Job Description
School of Architecture seeks parttime instructors to teach architecture design studio during the Fall 6 credits) and/or Spring 6 credits) semester(s). Teaching is at the undergraduate level.
Responsibilities
Those of a part time faculty member teaching a 6 credit hour design studio per semester including: Developing and/or updating a class syllabus. Ordering the appropriate books and materials in advance of the class start date. Preparation of lectures projects or other student assignments. Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours. Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the course. Meeting all designated class periods. Submitting completed midsemester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations. Grading student assignments and exams in timely manner. Providing departmentally sanctioned forms for completed student evaluations.
Qualifications
A professional degree in Architecture is required as well as an advanced degree in Architecture or a closely related design field.
