Job Description
Parks Hospitality Group is an awardwinning hotel development and management company dedicated to providing upscale accommodations and uniquely curated food and beverage experiences. Since 2008 Parks has partnered with Hilton and Marriott to develop a thriving portfolio of over 1400 rooms spanning North Carolina South Carolina and Tennessee. Parks is offering hotel operations internship experiences at 3 locations: Asheville NC; Cary NC; and Greenville SC.
The Role:
As a Hotel Operations Intern you wont just observe; youll be an active participant in shaping the guest experience. Under the guidance of our General Managers and department leaders immerse yourself in handson work shadowing experiences and realworld projects.The Hotel Operations Internship is a paid position and will last 10 weeks (May July).
What Youll Do:
- MultiDepartmental Exposure: Rotate through various departments understanding how each contributes to the hotels success.
- Skill Development: Cultivate your skills and leadership potential through experiential learning.
- Guest Interaction: Assist guests when needed turning every interaction into a delightful experience.
- Strategic Contribution: Provide valuable input into the development and implementation of services and processes.
- Collaborative Innovation: Work closely with department heads contributing to the strategic plan for each operational area.
- Learning Beyond Boundaries: Utilize and learn systems tools equipment and software essential for successful task completion.
Qualifications for Your Journey:
- Currently enrolled in College or University with a Major in Hospitality or a related field.
- GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Thirdyear university student or higher (Junior or rising Junior).
- Able to work a full 10 weeks without interruption.
- Enthusiastic about hospitality with a proactive and adaptable approach.
Your Skills and Style:
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Highly motivated with a keen interest in taking on new tasks.
- Adaptability to navigate various departments and projects.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Creative and innovative thinking translating thoughts into actions with speed.
