Job Description
Falk College seeks a parttime instructor to teach SWK 714 M700 Supervision Consultation and Staff Development 3 credits) in the Summer 2024 5/13/20248/23/2024 semester. Course Description: Functions methods and techniques of supervision and consultation within an organizational context. Design implementation and evaluation of staff development programs. Emphasis on overcoming barriers to multicultural groups and enhancing staff morale motivation and effectiveness. Additional Course Description: Research shows that the quality of an organizations supervision and management has the greatest impact on social work staff job satisfaction quality of work morale and staff development. This course examines the organizational context of administrative education and supportive social work supervision staff development and consultation. The course aims to introduce students to the principles methods and techniques of social work supervision. Emphasis is on enhancing staff motivation morale and effectiveness. Class Meets: Mondays 6:00 7:30 PM EST w/async content management. Asynchronous course access starts 1week before live class sessions May 6 2024
Responsibilities
Developing and/or updating a class syllabus. Preparation of lectures projects or other student assignments. Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours. Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the course. Meeting all designated class periods. Submitting completed midsemester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations. Grading student assignments and exams in timely manner. Completion and submission of CSWE competencybased student outcomes for department assessment/accreditation. Providing departmentally sanctioned forms for completed student evaluations. Building a positive rapport with students and other faculty.
Qualifications
An MSW with previous online graduatelevel social work teaching experience is preferred. Candidate must have 2 years postmasters experience. Must be able to teach online.
