Job Description
Job Title: Construction Maintenance Worker

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Construction Maintenance Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance repairs and improvements on buildings facilities and construction sites. This role requires knowledge of construction methods tools and safety regulations to ensure structures remain functional and safe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections of buildings facilities and construction sites to identify repair and maintenance needs.
- Conduct minor and major repairs including carpentry plumbing electrical painting texturing framing and masonry work.
- Install and replace fixtures such as cabinets tubs toilets flooring drywall and other structural elements.
- Operate and maintain tools machinery and equipment used in construction and maintenance tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while working on job sites.
- Assist with site preparation including digging leveling and setting up temporary structures.
- Work with contractors engineers and other maintenance staff to complete projects efficiently. Must have strong communication and collaborative skills working extensively with team members.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities repairs and materials used.
- Work requires frequent sitting standing walking and the use of numerous tools. Work is subject to tight deadlines and multitasking. Work includes long hours including weekends.
- During summer months outside temperatures can be over 100 degrees for the entire scheduled workday.
- During winter months outside temperatures can be below zero for the entire scheduled workday.
- During and after heavy rain or snowfall the roads in and around the farms can become extremely muddy snowcovered icy and difficult to maneuver on.
- During different job duties the noise inside or outside farms can become very loud.
- Will be exposed daily to odors dusts and gasses that may be uncomfortable or hazardous if proper procedures are not followed.
- Report to the maintenance supervisor any issues with interior or exterior facilities including climate control damages or pest infestation problems or mishandling of birds.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly.
- Responsibilities and tasks outlined in this document are not exhaustive and may change as determined by the needs of the company.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in construction or maintenance is a plus.
- Bilingual is a plus.
- Proven experience in construction maintenance or a related field.
- Electrical plumbing and remodeling experience of 12 years.
- Knowledge of building codes safety regulations and construction techniques.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Be able to lift more than 50 lbs. push/pull up to 50 lbs. bend and squat grip small objects and be capable of repeated actions.
- Be able to walk and stand for long periods on different surfaces including concrete
- The work requires Farm Maintenance to have and maintain a valid drivers license and an acceptable motor vehicle driving record.
- Does not own or operate around backyard poultry foul or swine operations off duty.
- Work is performed both indoors and outdoors sometimes in extreme weather conditions.
- May require lifting heavy materials climbing ladders and working at heights.
Additional required skills and abilities include a customerservice orientation; the ability to successfully handle multiple demands simultaneously; strong time management and organizational skills; attention to detail; strong communication skills in English including verbal written and listening; the ability to read and interpret company policies and procedures and applicable federal and state regulations; the ability to communicate and interact productively with all levels of employees and internal and external customers; the ability to work under pressure; and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. The position may require Farm Maintenance to be available for an extended workday. To be successful in this position the candidate must be energetic flexible and have determination.
Successful completion of a drug screen work achievement verification and a motor vehicle driving record check are required.
