Job Description
Summary:
The parttime lead graphic designer is responsible for creating designing and production. The lead graphic designer works closely with clients (internal or external) and the marketing team. The lead graphic designer must be creative technical and have an understanding of production as it relates to graphic design and advertising specialties. The lead graphic designer is also responsible for leading the creative department in accomplishing assigned tasks from management.Job Description:
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Design organize and manage production of materials for print and online publishing using Adobe Applications
- Design presentation materials and templates for clients.
- Use print software (i.e. Fiery and Flexisign) to create and print artwork based on customer needs.
- Have knowledge of production methods paper types and print technologies to complete production of client requests.
- Develop reports using strong oral and written communication abilities to express designs to organization members in a very time sensitive manner.
- Have an understanding of file formats used in a print/design/production environment
- Develop skills to design print and fabricate all means of advertising specialties including Screen Print Embroidery Small and large format printing.
- Be able to assist with the production and design of all types of graphic design requests (business cards stationery vehicle wraps etc.
Required knowledge skills and abilities
- Excellent communication skills Connect with clients for design and production needs and requirements.
- Excellent customer service experience Prompt and accurate client followup and notifications.
- Experience managing complex projects for clients from beginning to end Project and time management skills.
- Adobe InDesign Illustrator and Photoshop for design and production
- FlexiSign Sign making and RIP software
- Fiery RIP Digital printing software
- Digital printers (High speed copiers)
- Large Format Printing and Lamination Materials procedures and applications
- Vinyl Cutting and applications of produced materials
- Substrates and paper types Uses and applications
- Ability to quote and invoice clients Workday experience a plus
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Graphic Design or related field
- 13 Years in a graphic design and print production environment
