Job Description/Duties:
Legal assistant to support AAGs in Trusts and Estates Section of Charities Bureau with the following:
opening mail
using NYMatters and Filenet to open new matters
create file folders for new matters
organize hard files in filing cabinets
scan Court Notices Wills Trusts Pleadings and Accountings into NYMatters and WPDAT
Complete file review tasks as requested by AAGs; correspond by email and telephone with staff of estate counsels office as requested by AAGs
Review print scan email and mail legal papers as requested by AAGs
close files in NYMatters
other duties as requested by AAGs.
Preferred Education:
High school; Technical degree/Certificate Program; Bachelors Degree
