Job Description

The Club at Starr Pass is currently undergoing a full renovation with the new restaurant scheduled to open on May 1.

About Us:
Copperstate Kitchen and Cocktails is an exciting new dining destination nestled within the beautiful and exclusive The Club at Starr Pass in Tucson. Offering a unique blend of locally inspired cuisine and craft cocktails Copperstate is set to become a vibrant gathering spot for both locals and visitors alike. We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Executive Chef to lead our culinary team and create a memorable dining experience for all of our guests.

Role Overview:
As the Executive Chef you will be the creative force behind Copperstates kitchen designing innovative menus that highlight local ingredients bold flavors and seasonal specialties. You will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations from menu planning and food preparation to maintaining exceptional standards of food quality and presentation. This is a leadership position that requires a passion for culinary excellence a commitment to high standards and a desire to shape the direction of a new exciting restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead inspire and manage the kitchen team in a positive productive environment.
  • Develop and execute creative seasonallydriven menus that reflect the restaurants ethos and elevate the dining experience.
  • Ensure consistent and exceptional food quality presentation and portion control.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Oversee inventory ordering and cost control to optimize food costs and minimize waste.
  • Work closely with frontofhouse leadership to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
  • Mentor and train kitchen staff fostering a culture of growth and development.
  • Collaborate with the management team to plan and execute special events tastings and promotions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and continually seek ways to innovate and improve.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Sous Chef in a highvolume upscale dining environment.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques food safety and kitchen operations.
  • Excellent leadership organizational and communication skills.
  • A passion for locally sourced sustainable ingredients and farmtotable cuisine.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fastpaced teamoriented environment.
  • Creativity and a strong understanding of flavor profiles presentation and modern culinary trends.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Flexibility to work nights weekends and holidays as required.
