Job Description

Our firm is a growing registered investment advisory (RIA) with a diverse client set and a strong commitment to our fiduciary responsibility. Our clients are individuals/families businesses/executives and we also support a number of retirement plans. We are passionate about the financial planning process and having subject matter experts (CFA/CFP) on our team to solve our clients needs. Our firm is looking to hire an Associate Advisor to support the Senior Advisors and to create and nurture longterm needs of firm clients help to manage client relationships and to activey participate in the advanced planning process. In addition to the technical mastery you will anticipate needs resolve problems and follow through on agreed upon deliverables. You will provide consistent accurate and timely results with research meeting preparation meeting attendance and notetaking reporting analysis as well as input and management of the financial plan.

You will follow the highest standard of business and professional ethics as well as legal and regulatory requirements.

You are an excellent communicator that can grasp others needs and develop remarkable ways to fulfill them. You can move through your work efficiently while recognizing that the detailed work in our business is critical. You have enough experience and/or common sense to know that the first answer isnt always the right one and you are incredibly resourceful and thoughtful in all your interactions. This role is ideal for those who wish to develop client advisory skills under the guidance and mentorship of an experienced advisory team.

You are going to be tech savvy an adopter of change and always willing to help. You are naturally curious love organization and detail work. You have been in the business awhile and understand many if not all client situations even when complex. Because of this you are proactive and able to help clients and your advisors steer clear of landmines.

Responsibilities & Activities

  • Support Senior Advisors with preparation of wellpolished documentation and presentation materials for meetings
  • Attend and participate in meetings with prospects and existing clients
  • Record meeting notes on topics covered changes in clients needs and action items
  • Summarize meeting and schedule action items in contact management software
  • Complete all action items utilizing firm processes and procedures
  • Work in conjunction with the Senior Advisors to deliver services to clients
  • Work with team to ensure all actions for clients are tracked and completed
  • Assist with initiatives focused on valueadd content delivered to clients
  • Communicate and follow up regularly with clients developing strong relationships and rapport with clients
  • Coordinate financial plan development including initial financial plan data entry development and working with advisory team to develop recommendations; continuous monitoring of plan and any necessary changes
  • Create quarterly and/or annual client summaries of net worth estate distribution insurance income tax cash flow projections and investments
  • Other special projects to support firmwide process improvement and capabilities

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

  • Bachelors degree required preferably in finance financial planning or a related field
  • 13 years of progressive experience in the wealth management industry supporting one or more financial advisors required
  • CFP designation highly preferred or intention to obtain CFP designation within 12 months
  • Familiar with Orion Right Capital Fidelity Schwab preferred and/or other industryspecific platforms
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent communication skills and a sense of urgency
  • Excellent customer service and administrative abilities
  • Cando attitude enthusiastic and a strong aptitude for learning
  • The ability to effectively prioritize workloads and complete tasks within welldefined guidelines and time constraints is essential
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail are critical given the nature of paperwork processes and work upon which both clients and the advisory team depend
  • This person is an intelligent analytical thinker with the ability to draw on a range of resources to ensure a highquality outcomes across the positions responsibilities
