Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and clientoriented Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on geotechnicalrelated projects with an emphasis on analysis preparation of comprehensive geotechnical reports and direct client communication. The successful candidate will manage projects from start to finish ensuring seamless highquality deliverables and exceptional client service.

General Geotechnical Explorations
Foundation Evaluations
Pavement Design and Analysis
Settlement Analysis
Slope Stability Analysis
Karst Explorations
Construction Site and Expansive Soils Evaluations
Special Inspections and Construction Materials Testing (CMT)

Please note that the duties below may vary based on the changing needs of the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Conduct geotechnical field explorations and oversee laboratory testing.
    • Analyze and interpret field and laboratory data to provide sound geotechnical recommendations.
    • Prepare and review detailed geotechnical reports for commercial industrial retail government and residential projects.
    • Maintain consistent communication with clients throughout project lifecycles ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
    • Manage geotechnical projects including proposal development project and report delivery.
    • Coordinate field activities with drill crews including scheduling and sampling logistics.
    • Conduct field work as necessary to ensure accurate data collection and quality control.
    • Utilize engineering software (e.g. gINT DARWin SLOPE/W VOLFLO gSTABL SLIDE Microsoft Excel) for analysis and reporting.

Preferred Experience

    • Education: Bachelors in Civil Engineering (required); Masters in Civil Engineering (preferred).
    • Licensure: Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E. in the State of Kentucky (required).
    • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience.
    • Technical Skills: Proficient in industrystandard geotechnical software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Additional: Valid drivers license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
