Job Description

  • POSITION SUMMARY

    • Development Officer works in partnership with the Foundation Director in planning organizing and implementing incomegenerating activities. The Development Officer will consult with the Director regarding the implementation evaluation and sustainability of the incomegenerating activities. The Development Officer needs to establish strong relationships with current and potential donors as well as help reestablish relationship with previous donors. These relationships should help the foundation to achieve its income goals. The Development Officer must possess excellent interpersonal skills. The Development Officer will assist with marketing and communication activities that support the donor development process.

  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
    • Licenses and Certifications Required
    • Educational Requirements
      • BS or BA Degree
    • Experience Requirements
      • Previous experience with a nonprofit organization preferably in the area of development. Knowledge and understanding of fundraising methodology.
    • Special Skills or Training Requirements
      • Demonstrates the following qualities: Sound interpersonal skills exceptional communication skills team building and team work tactfulness diplomacy personal and professional integrity creativity flexibility passion excellent computer skills.
