Job Description
The Department of Emergency Healthcare at Weber State University is seeking a fulltime Lab Manager for their Emergency Medical Services EMS programs. This position will be responsible for enhancing student knowledge and skills in the paramedic EMT and CPR skill labs. The Lab Manager ensures proper inventory of laboratory supplies and maintenance of equipment and assists faculty in fulfilling program instructor needs. The EMS Lab Manager is punctual and a self starter; energetic and outgoing; customer service oriented; has the ability to organize prioritize and meet deadlines on varied projects; is detail oriented; has excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills; has the ability to work independently and interface effectively with a diverse clientele.
Required Qualifications
Required: Must be a Nationally Registered EMT and licensed at that level by the Utah Bureau of EMS . Must be Basic Life Support certified by the American Heart Association or willing to obtain within 30 days. Minimum of 3 years related experience in health care field. Completion of continuing education units for license renewal as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred: Nationally Registered Paramedic and licensed at that level by the Utah Bureau of EMS . American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support Provider and Instructor. Bachelors degree in healthcare or education related discipline.
