Job Description

Objectives for the role :

  • Support the company in optimising our financial transactions and systems.
  • Strengthen and grow our relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external.
  • Assist in streamlining and improving the month end close process.
  • Conduct month end quarter end and year end close processes to verify all entries have been created and posted ensuring completeness accuracy and cohesiveness of
  • information.
  • Ensure accuracy of accounting data by identifying and resolving discrepancies through variance analysis and forensic review.
  • Support finance partners in the development of ongoing measurement tracking performance versus expectations and providing recommendations on corrective actions.
  • Undertake the Tagetik month end reporting process in an accurate and ontime manner.
  • Prepare all necessary reports and detailed support both periodically and ondemand including balance sheet reconciliations profit and loss statements
  • Participate in monthly and quarterly Business Reviews with senior management.
  • Oversee the management of our cash position both incoming and outgoing effectively on a daily basis.
  • Assist in the preparation of cash flow forecasts for all business units.
  • Reconcile and import transactional data from 2c9 including pay transactions sales invoices and WIP.
  • Spearhead or participate in special projects as needed within the department or crossfunctionally including assisting in the escalation of payment or invoicing problems
  • identified by the Accounts Officers.
  • Understand and act in accordance with all accounting policies procedures and internal controls as outlined in the Brunel Accounting and Control Manual.
  • Periodically improve and document all accounting control procedures identifying system issues and making suggestions for improvements.
  • Actively participate in the annual financial audit and comply with any internal audit requests.
  • Comply with federal and state financial requirements.

Qualifications & Experience :

  • Qualified CA/CPA.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures.
  • Understanding of the requirements for an operation such as Brunel.
  • Proven track record of organisational financial management.
  • Demonstrated project and system development and management ability.
  • A broad understanding of the recruitment industry our verticals our specialisations and our capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to build relationships across all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong customer service and work ethic.
  • Selfmotivated and able to work with minimal direction and supervision with a proven ability to work autonomously and within a team.
  • Ability to multitask prioritise and delegate responsibilities in an effective and efficient
  • manner.
  • Outstanding integrity solid moral judgement and the ability to make important decisions under pressure.
  • Expert problem solver analytical thinker and decisionmaker.
  • Possess strong leadership skills and business acumen.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Navision is desirable.
