Hospital Medicine

***Acute Care PNP required upon hire***

The Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine is recruiting fulltime experienced pediatric advanced practice providers with strong clinical skills and an interest in academic medicine. The candidate will participate in clinical educational and quality improvement initiatives within the Division.Mastery of skills such as professionalism teambased care care of children with medical complexity and effective communication are mandatory.

The Division is currently made up of more than 40 physicians and 6 hospital medicine fellows and 3 APRNs.

The clinical practice occurs within our tertiary care facility described and within our CMH community site which is also included below.

Childrens Mercy Hospital (Adele Hall Campus) is an urban tertiary care/academic childrens hospital with full pediatric medical/surgical support. This role would include direct care on a hospitalistonly team comprised of medically complex and diverse general pediatric patients. Fellows medical students and residents on elective may be part of the team.

Childrens Mercy Kansas is a unique freestanding community childrens hospital located 12 miles southwest of Childrens Mercy Hospital.The hospital serves a breadth of pediatric diagnoses with lower acuity than our main campus. Clinical service on this campus offers a complementary clinical experience featuring a professionally stimulating direct interaction with pediatric professionals in our busy onsite pediatric emergency department as well as in our community referral area.

The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse I (APRNI) provides comprehensive evidencebased advanced practice nursing to address the physiologic psychosocial and developmental needs of patients and families within the framework of the collaborative practice agreement. The APRNI participates in beginning leadership evidencedbased practice/ research and organizational development activities with the support and direction of an experienced APRN mentor.

If you are selected for this position you will be asked to supply your immunization records as proof of vaccination. If you and have any concerns about receiving these vaccines medical and/or religious exemptions can be further discussed with Human Resources.
