Job Description

Community Justice Development Facilitator

Title: Community Justice DevelopmentFacilitator

Department: Community Development

Status: Contract Fulltime

Start: April 1 2025

End: March31 2029

Pay Grid: Manager Tier 1 $57330.00 to $64610.00 per year)

Reporting to: Youth Crime Prevention Manager

Summary of Duties:

The Community Justice Development Facilitator will lead acommunitydriven project to engage with the Lilwat7ul on nxekmen (Our Natural Lawsand Customs) and muta7ntakmen (Our Way of Life). Responsibilitiesinclude organizing and facilitating community gatherings workshops panelsand landbased activities to deepen understanding of revitalizing traditionallaws (nxekmen).The facilitator will conduct research document findings and developeducational materials to influence legal and social systems while assessingexisting community services identifying gaps (e.g.Outreach Victims Assistance Services Court Advocate) and creating models to revitalizeoutreach and victim assistance. The facilitatorwill also organize track and report on project data and collaborate withstakeholders to integrate Lilwat traditions with current legal frameworks.
