Job Description
GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
The Temporary Senior Research Associate will assist the principal investigator in conducting analyses on the relation of modifiable factors (diet behavior or medication) genomic proteomic and metabolomics biomarkers and prognostic risk factors in cancer and chronic disease pathophysiology causal networks and pathways. The Senior Research Associate will target to independently develop research questions and conduct pilot studies to translate the scientific knowledge into clinical health promotion practice.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core responsibilities include:
- Assist the PI and work closely with data manager/programmer on data analysis of clinical demographic questionnaire and biomarker on evidence summary of disease prevention and treatment;
- Data analysis of the Physicians Health Study based as well as other cohortbased research such as BPC3 research.
- Prepare data analyses report and develop research manuscript.
- Develop clinical health promotion project proposals and program evaluation scheme.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of bachelors degree in science. Masters preferred in Epidemiology Biostatistics etc.
Experience in develop research proposal grant application program evaluation and SAS programming.
SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Excellent communication SAS programming and writing skills required.
