Responsibilities
- Layout rigging connecting bolting and welding steel by following prints and instructions while guaranteeing all quality and safety standards are met.
- Read and follow blueprints sketches and other instructions.
- Forklift operation for unloading and shaking out steel members.
- Showing up every day to ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Layout cutting installation welding and powder actuated fastening of steel deck.
- Helping newer Ironworkers learn the ins and outs of the trade.
Qualifications
- Must be able to lift 80lbs and withstand the physical demands of erecting steel.
- Must be able to work at heights of 80 feet or more.
- Must be able to pass a preemployment drug screening for illegal and illicit substances.
- Welding experience. Preinterview test will be conducted.
- Steel Erection or similar construction work experience.
Compensation: $20.00 $32.00 per hour
