Mark Young Construction LLC (MYC) has an excellent opportunity for Commercial Carpentersto join us as we continue to grow!
The Commercial Carpenter works closely with Owners Owner Management Superintendents Engineers and others on his/her team. A Commercial Carpenter performs and completes a variety of tasks and projects ranging in duration from a part of a day to multiple weeks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Communicates with clients owners owner representatives before the job starts during the job and after the job is complete.
- Prioritizes and meets scheduled deadlines on projects
- Completion of daily construction reports timecards monthly equipment reporting weekly safety meetings tool inventory
- Constructs erects and installs structures made of wood metal plywood wallboard and other materials using carpentry hand tools power tools and woodworking machines for commercial projects
- Set trusses
- Cut footings and foundation walls layout and form concrete steps HC Ramps
- Use and understand 5point laser theodolite laser/building level
- Finish carpentry: chair rail cap trim cabinets
- Layout selfperformed work
- Participate in daily work assignment planning to achieve highest productivity levels
- Quantify material for upcoming assignments
- Read and understand drawings to assist the foreman in developing plans for work
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Ability to use all jobsite equipment
- Own basic tools
- Ability to work with other trades
- Ability to perform work to MYC standards
- Ability to travel along up/down the front range
