Overview
Medical Lab Technician General Laboratory
$5000 Signon Bonus for Experienced MLTs
$2000 Signon Bonus for New Grad MLTs
Full Time 72 Hours Per Pay Period Night Shift
Hours are 12hour shifts 6pm to 6am. Rotating weekends and holidays.

Position Summary:
The MLT performs routine and specialized clinical lab tests for use in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by physicians.
Responsibilities
- Performs all routine and specialized lab tests trained for as assigned.
- Runs maintains and or repairs laboratory equipment.
- Performs and documents quality control samples in assigned work area.
- Cleans and sterilizes laboratory equipment glassware and instruments.
- Prepares solutions reagents and stains according to standard formulas and procedures.
- Answers phones responds to physician inquiries regarding lab results.
- Maintains required records reports statistics logs files to comply with requirements of accreditation and regulatory agencies.
- Performs all functions of a Sr. lab assistant as required.
- Receives or collects specimens; organizes and prioritizes work duties. Identifies and labels specimens.
- Demonstrates competence in performing critical skills to include therapeutic and diagnostic testing according to the agespecific needs of the population served (from newborn to geriatric).
- Follows policies procedures and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
None specified; however must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.
Minimum Experience:
None.
Licensure Requirement:
Must have and maintain Tennessee State medical lab technician licensures.
