Case Manager Early Intervention Family Support - Intensive Family Support

About the role:

The Early Intervention & Family Support (EIFS) programs work alongside parents and family carers who have children in their care to improve safety and connectedness with local community services.

The EIFS Case Manager will provide initial screening and assessment and develop with families their family case plan.They will identify barriers and provide practical inhome support for carers oversee case management activity provide parenting and trauma information for carers and specific supports for children to strengthen links to community and culture.

This is a Permanent FullTime opportunity based in Karratha WA within our Early Intervention and Family Support (EIFS) Program. The position reports to the Coordinator Pilbara Services.

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role you will have:

• An appropriate qualification in human services and or equivalent experience and skills.
• A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children young people and their families.
• Demonstrated ability in working as part of a team.
• Experience in Case Management.
• Knowledge of traumatised and vulnerable children young people and families.
• An understanding of attachment trauma theories child development childcentred approach and resilience.
• Demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively and with the capacity to liaise with community services other agencies and the community.
• An understanding of the child protection and the outofhome care service system.

• Valid and current Drivers Licence;
