Systems Engineer

The mission of Jazz at Lincoln Center Inc. (JALC) is to entertain enrich and expand a global community for jazz through performance education and advocacy. From college students to young stars from working professionals to celebrated masters we present quality jazz for an everincreasing audience in an unprecedented range of activities and a variety of venues. Position Overview:

As a Systems Engineer you will play a key role in designing implementing and maintaining our networking and cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with crossfunctional teams to ensure seamless integration and performance of hardware and software systems. This role demands a strong understanding of both technical concepts and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design configure and maintain complex systems and networks to meet company requirements and goals.
• Develop network layouts and strategies.
• Implement system solutions by analyzing system specifications diagrams and related documentation.
• Monitor system & network performance troubleshoot issues and provide technical support to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with web developers and other IT professionals to integrate systems and troubleshoot issues.
• Evaluate and test new technologies and provide recommendations for improvements or upgrades.
• Partner in the management of system backups data storage disaster recovery and security protocols.
• Assist in the planning and of system upgrades patches and improvements.
• Provide documentation for system configurations updates and procedures.
• Work with endusers and internal teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure user satisfaction.
• Ensure systems meet compliance security and regulatory standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Information Technology or a related field.
• Proven experience in system engineering IT infrastructure or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows Linux macOS) and networking protocols.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware HyperV etc. and cloud platforms (AWS Azure etc..
• Experience with hardware components servers storage devices and networking equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
• Knowledge of security best practices firewalls WAFs encryption and system monitoring tools.
• Ability to work in a fastpaced teamoriented environment with attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with automation and scripting (e.g. PowerShell Python Bash).
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect or similar.
• Experience with database management and administration.

Work Hours

JALC does not offer a hybrid work schedule. All staff work together as a team Monday through Friday at our offices (either Jazz at Lincoln Centers administrative offices at 3 Columbus Circle or at Frederick P. Rose Hall The House of Swing.
