Job Description
Eurasia Group an independentpolitical risk consultancy is seeking an experienced and motivated analyst to help interpret andpredict Washington political events for financial market and corporate clients.You will be based in the firms Washington office.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in Congress and/or theexecutive branch on fiscal policy issues or covering such issues extensivelyeither in the private sector or in academia. An executive branch appointment orsenior policymaking role on Capitol Hill would be a plus. You will have anestablished network in Washington and a determination to broaden your contactbase. You will have an excellent understanding of how US political eventsimpact economic and market outcomes both on domestic and foreign policyissues. You may have worked in a partisan political role in the past but youmust have the ability to assess the likelihood of political events without anypartisan bias.
In this position you will assess political risks related to a host of policyareas including fiscal policy trade policy financial markets policy andupcoming elections. You will perform indepth research and write both shortanalyses and longer papers on a host of topics. You will participate in clientbriefings so you will therefore have excellent analytical and oral and writtenpresentation skills. You understand deadlines and you write in a good succinctstyle in native English standard.
You will have an advanced degree in political science or another relevantdiscipline and substantial experience working in or writing about US politics.More experienced candidates are invited to apply.
