JOB GOAL:

As an Employment Education Specialist (Teacher) you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our students by identifying developing and maintaining meaningful oncampus and community job sites. Youll collaborate with staff supervisors and families to create individualized employment education plans that integrate social and community goals. Your work will directly contribute to building students confidence independence and success in the workplace.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals focused on employment education and social development.
  • Identify and prepare students for job placements by teaching essential skills.
  • Collaborate with the Master Teacher to secure meaningful work sites for students.
  • Write detailed annual educational assessments based on observations and interactions.
  • Track student progress through quarterly reports and regular communication with parents and staff.
  • Actively participate alongside students in physical activities such as jogging (up to 3 miles) standing squatting and lifting.
  • Serve as a role model and motivator during all student activities lessons and job site experiences.
  • Contribute to curriculum development teaching strategies and program improvements.
  • Participate inteam meetings professional development plans school events committees and daily meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • ABachelors degreein Education or a related field.
  • Experience working with individuals on the Autism Spectrum (preferred).
  • Strong initiative excellent communication skills and professionalism.
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced multicultural environment.
  • A valid drivers license is required (some drivingis necessary).
  • Willingness to embrace theDaily Life Therapymethodology.
