Who are we looking for

We are seeking a dedicated First Nations individual to help AnglicareSA deliver culturally responsive support to First Nations clients. As a First Nations Cultural Practitioner you will provide culturally safe traumainformed interventions to support individuals and families experiencing homelessness driving sustainable positive change in their lives.

In this role you will manage a case load while also offering cultural support to the team and/or our alliance.

What can you expect to be doing

  • Strengthen families connection to culture and support them in transitioning out of homelessness
  • Provide culturally safe guidance and mentorship to staff
  • Assess individual needs develop and implement tailored case plans and maintain accurate records
  • Deliver therapeutic support to diverse client groups

What do you need to bring

  • Must be of Aboriginal and or/ Torres Strait Islander decent and identify and be accepted within Community as being Aboriginal and or/ Torres Strait Islander.
  • Willingness to work toward obtaining Cert IV in Community Services or similar.

Desirable

  • A relevant degree level qualification in Social Work Psychology Early Childhood and/or related Social Sciences or extensive relevant experience.

  • Current drivers licence
