Job Description

Deputy Manager Childrens Residential Home

Location: Tamworth
Salary: 14.52 per hour rising to 15.29 per hour from 1st April
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent

Sponsorship is not available
Individuals with only CQC experience and who have not worked in an Ofsted Registered Childrens Home will not be considered.

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Deputy Manager to join a passionate team in a childrens residential home. You will assist in achieving the aims and objectives of the homes Statement of Purpose deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager and support the team in providing exceptional care for young people.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

Essential:
NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People (or equivalent)
Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in a childrens residential home
Minimum 12 months experience working in a residential setting with young people with challenging behaviour
Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations Childrens Act and National Minimum Standards
Team leadership and staff management skills

Desirable:
Management qualification (NVQ Level 4 or equivalent)
Full UK driving licence
Additional training in counselling supervision or awareness
