Job Description
A client of mine is looking for a skilled and motivated IT Technician to join their team based in Benoni. This is an inoffice role where you will provide essential IT support ensuring the smooth operation of the companys technology systems.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.
- Install configure and maintain computer systems networks and peripherals.
- Monitor and maintain network performance ensuring minimal downtime.
- Assist in managing and upgrading company hardware and software.
- Provide training and support to staff on IT systems and applications.
- Perform routine system backups and data recovery procedures.
- Ensure adherence to security protocols and conduct regular system checks.
- Proven experience as an IT Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of computer systems networks and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite operating systems (Windows macOS) and hardware.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication and problemsolving skills.
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g. CompTIA Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
