Job Description
- Preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts
- Interpretation and analysis of the accounts and explanation of variances
- Assisting in preparing financial statements including balance sheet income statement and cashflows
- Working closely with senior management to resolve any queries with financial statements
- Full reconciliation of all balance sheet and control accounts including prepayment and accrual calculations on a daily weekly and monthly basis
- Responsible for posting journals and performing complex analysis
- Providing supporting data and relevant analysis to senior management to aid decision making in an effective and timely manner
- Recording financial transactions
- Assisting in reconciling supplier ledgers and agreeing to supplier statements
- Ensuring payments to suppliers are paid as per the supplier payment terms
- Completion of quarterly VAT return
- Analysing and reporting of period end departmental reports
You will ideally be a qualified Accountant or working towards your qualification although candidates who are qualified by experience will be considered. Experience in a similar role is paramount as are strong Excel skills.
