Job Description

Job DescriptionThe Community Therapeutic Day School is a well established therapeutic and educational program for children ages 312 with neurologic and emotional challenges. The Special Educators here are integral members of the clinical team. Experience with complex children in a therapeutic setting IEP development case management and the desire to be part of a coteaching team are essential elements of this position. This position is 40 hours with full benefits. We are seeking a thoughtful person experienced in working with children and families in a dynamic therapeutic milieu and someone who will work compassionately and reflectively with children and their families.Qualifications:Must have a Masters Degree and Certification in Education Special Education in Moderate or Severe Special Needs (pre k8 Please include Massachusetts certification #Responsibilities:Case ManagementInterface with families integrate the curriculum and provide training with Learning SpecialistsDesign implement and document curriculum in accordance with the CORE curriculumAttend Clinical meetings to review educational and clinical progressResearch order and help organize curriculum programs/materials and support teacher materialsReport writing / IEP / Progress Reports / Assessments / EvaluationsMeet with Learning specialistsImplement core curriculum in classroomsMCAS planning support and Core curriculum
