Job Description

This position is responsible for managing the development implementation and continuous improvement of quality and safety programs within the assigned area(s). Ensures compliance with regulatory standards enhances patient safety and promotes a culture of excellence in healthcare delivery. Supports the organization in fulfilling the mission vision and values of Logan Health.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in healthcare administration nursing or related field required. Masters degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three 3 years experience in acute care quality management required.
  • Minimum of three 3 years leadership experience required.
  • Current Montana RN License or a multistate compact license with authorization to practice nursing within the state of Montana preferred.
  • CPHQ Certification preferred.
  • Experience in data management system and quality improvement tools preferred.
  • Promotes excellence through setting high standards and providing high quality outcomes.
  • Ability to act with integrity kindness and exhibit empathy.
  • Excellent organizational skills detailoriented a selfstarter possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact professionalism and diplomacy.
  • Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.

Management Job Duties:

Strategic

Drive organizational objectives by operationalizing changes and initiatives effectively and efficiently. Proactively anticipate both the needs of Logan Health and the impact operations has on the organizations success. Collect and analyze data prepare and present recommendations and explain associated benefits and risks for improving operations.

Business Acumen

Demonstrate and further develop competencies in the areas of leadership financial management employee engagement human resources knowledge organizational dynamics and governance organizational communication strategic planning change management risk management compliance patient safety patient experience and quality improvement. Demonstrate professional ownership selfdevelopment and a desire for lifelong learning.

Emotional Intelligence

Lead and influence the team by exhibiting Logan Health core values: Be Kind Work Together Trust and Be Trusted Strive for Excellence. Develop and foster relationships with other Logan Health leaders departments and members of the team to support open communication trust transparency and collaboration.

Leadership

Creates a supportive department culture by fostering individual motivation coaching and training for optimum job performance. Collaborates with Human Resources to develop implement and support programs and processes that add value to Logan Health its leadership and employees. Leads to improve culture employee and physician engagement empowerment growth and retention while remaining committed to Logan Healths management and prosperity for its customers employees and community.

Job Specific Duties:

  • Designs and oversees quality and safety programs ensuring alignment with accreditation standards and Logan Health policies.
  • Monitors and analyzes quality metrics and performance data.
  • Oversees the development and maintenance of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Reviews safety event reports and working with Clinical Safety may conduct risk assessments and safety audits as needed.
  • Develops and delivers training and education to staff on quality and safety best practices protocols and incident reporting.
  • Promotes awareness of quality and safety practices throughout the organization.
  • Ensures compliance with relevant regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Prepares for and participates in regulatory inspections surveys and audits.
  • Maintains uptodate knowledge of industry regulations standards and best practices.
  • Collaborates with other departments to integrate quality and safety initiatives into clinical workflows and operational procedures.
  • Communicates quality and safety goals and progress with stakeholders.
  • Engages with patients and families to gather feedback and improve care.

Maintains regular and consistent attendance as scheduled by department leadership.

Shift:

Day Shift 8 Hours (United States of America)

Schedule:

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
