As Head Chef You Will:
The Head Chef will be someone who has gained considerableculinary experience preferably within premium casual Italian cuisine. The HeadChef oversees all kitchen operations with strong leadership skills and knowledgeof menu development forecasting food costing inventory and scheduling. The HeadChef will be a driven individual with a passion for creating Italian cuisine; apassion only surpassed by their desire for developing their teams culinary talent.
- Demonstrate and communicate vision and culinary conceptsto all team members
- Create and develop menus including usingproducts that are grown and sourced locally
- Ensuring team members provide a memorable guestexperience through coaching and fostering a positive working culture byreinforcing the MHG Values
- Demonstrate and promote a kitchen culture thatrevolves around the enjoyment of cooking food and working as a team
- Demonstrate an influential presence in thekitchen which fosters growth learning and development
- Work with the Sous Chef Prep Manager and allteam members to meet all projected goals when it comes to cost waste andlabour control
- Oversee ordering of inventory and daily prepwork
- Responsible for completing weekly inventory
- Recipe and menu development and input intoinventory system Optimum Control
- Work on the line with team members maintaininga high level of food quality
- Oversees kitchen operations and cleanliness

- Have a passion for the Italian culinaryexperience and the food service industry

What You Bring:
- Applicants should have 1 years experience withItalian cuisine
- Must have experience cooking and leading in afullservice highvolume restaurant
- Previous experience working as a Sous Chef or Head Chef (kitchen leadership role)
- Culinary Arts training or diploma considered an asset
