Description

ChildServe has an opening for aMedical Cash Posting Specialist I. This team member will be supported by a tenured team have opportunities for growth and be able to enjoy a hybrid work model.
Schedule
General business hours M F hybrid work out of our Johnston office is an option once trained.
What Youll Do
Quality Assurance
  • Record and apply payments and/or adjustments in the billing system reconciling batch totals.
  • Document claim denial reason in the billing system according to reason codes provided on explanation of benefits forms.
  • Ensure patient demographics and insurance information are accurately entered into the system.
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Review insurance payments to verify insurance companies are paying according to their fee schedule.
Collaboration and Communication
  • Communicate effectively with patients internal and external teams to identify and resolve billing issues or concerns.
  • Report trends or issues related to billing and/or reimbursement to leadership.
  • Act as a knowledgeable resource for patients families providers and payers regarding patient accounts and applicable regulations.
  • Provide phone coverage to address patient inquiries and complete payment transactions over the phone.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support ChildServes Mission Vision and Values.
What Youll Need

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Associate degree in accounting Business Management or Healthcare related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Medical billing experience preferred.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft applications including Outlook Word and Excel
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to exercise confidentiality regarding the affairs of clients staff their families and ChildServe business.
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships and demonstrate sensitivity to and respect for a diverse population.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in reading writing and speaking the English language.
