Position Function/Purpose

Assist the teacher in the planning preparation and implementation of classroom activities and administrative requirements. Work cooperatively with campus personnel and cooperating teacher.

Major Responsibilities

1. Assist the teacher inplanning preparation and implementation ofinstruction
2. Uphold and enforce school rules administrative regulations and state and local board policy
3. Work with individual students or small groups to conduct instructional activities assigned by cooperating teacher
4. Assist in management and supervision of students throughout the school day both inside and outside of the classroom
5. Keep the teacher informed of any special needs orchallenges of individual students
6. Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly classroom
7. Assist in inventory care and maintenance of equipment
8. Assist the teacher in keeping administrative records and preparing reports
9. Participate in inservice programs faculty meetings and special events as neede
10. All other duties as assigned by the campus principal cooperating teacher or EPP Field Supervisor

Qualification Requirements

1. Enrollment in Educator Preparation Program for placement in student teaching / clinical teaching experience
2. Ability to work well withcampus staff cooperating teacher students and parents
