Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare servicesto theMissouri Department of Corrections.
We are currently seeking a fulltime Level 1 Medication Aide (L1MA)to join our team at Western Reception Diagnostic and Correctional Center located in Saint Joseph Missouri.
The Level 1 Medication Aide (L1MA)Under the direction of the facility Director of Nursing / nursing designee administers medications as prescribed; and documents the medication effectiveness and any noted adverse actions or side effects.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Preferred to have current active Level 1 Medication Aide certification from the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) or the Department of Mental Health (DMH) which may also be referred to as DD Medication Aide (mo.tmutest).
- Insulin certification preferred.
- Must complete required continuing education to maintain certification (minimum of four 4 hours of medication administration training every two 2 years). Required training will be documented and maintained in Employee File.
- Must be actively certified in CardioPulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
- If not already Level 1 Medication Aide certified applicant must successfully complete internal level one medication aide and insulin training to maintain employment beyond probationary period.
- Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.
- One year experience in acute care emergency or correctional setting preferred.
Available Shift:Days 7:00am7:30pm 312s and every other weekend
