Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide classroom coverage as needed stepping in for lead or assistant teachers to ensure a consistent and safe learning environment.
- Support the delivery of curriculumbased activities and lessons planned by the lead teacher.
- Supervise and engage with children ensuring their safety wellbeing and active participation in classroom routines.
- Maintain a professional supportive and positive demeanor when interacting with children staff and administrators.
- Guide children toward positive behavior choices using established classroom management techniques and support strategies.
- Follow established procedures for classroom organization and daily operations including setup and cleanup to maintain a supportive environment for childrens learning.
- High School Diploma or GED required; CDA preferred.
- At least two years experience in early childcare education 2500 verified hours).
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with parents/guardians.
- Ability to maintain high level standards of confidentiality regarding center staff and family matters.
- Understanding of DHS licensing Keystone Stars and accreditation standards.
- Proficient in managing a multicultural classroom environment.
