Job Description
The Department of Finance in the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University invites applications for parttime Faculty Associate positions to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the field of finance. Areas of instruction may include managerial finance financial markets and institutions security analysis and portfolio management derivative financial securities financial institutions financial planning personal finance estate planning and other special topics in finance.
These positions are one semester appointments part time nonbenefits eligible with no tenure implications not to exceed .40 FTE. A typical Faculty Associate course load is one to two classes per semester. Teaching duties include:preparing course materials responding to and evaluating student work and availability for oneonone assistance (via weekly office hours for oncampus classes and electronically for online classes).Individuals employed as Faculty Associates may not hold multiple nonbenefits eligible appointments at Arizona State University.
Anticipated start date is Fall 2024 or Spring 2025.
Essential Functions: The candidate(s) must contribute to the Department of Finances mission in the area of delivering excellent instruction of finance courses to undergraduate and/or Masters students.
Minimum Qualifications: A masters degree in business administration finance or related field and five years related experience; OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge skills and abilities have been achieved.
Desired Qualifications: Excellent potential for teaching courses in finance as evidenced by significant related business experience and/or teaching experience. Significant service and professional contributions to the field of finance as demonstrated by work experience or mentoring.
