Job Description
The University of Texas at Arlington Research Institute UTARI a universitylevel applied research organization operating out of the Office of Research and Innovation at the University of Texas at Arlington invites applications for an assistant professor of research nontenure track NTT Academic Professional Track APT position in the field of Big Data as applied to Healthcare Applications. We seek an experienced researcher who complements the interdisciplinary nature of the UTARI research groups. Ideal candidates will have strong records of research in areas such as artificial intelligence machine learning data analytics humancomputer interfaces health informatics personalized medicine and/or health outcomes. They will also have a record demonstrating a high likelihood of continued research success.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the research faculty is to engage actively in research with the faculty and fulltime research staff at UTARI as well as in collaboration with other relevant departments and centers at UTA . This role includes conducting research leading to publications and participating in the development and submission of related research grant proposals in the area of Big Data for Healthcare applications.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must have a doctoral degree in Computer Science or Engineering or a related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with at least 5 years of experience and a record of funded research as PI and CoPI as well as scholarly activity in the expected research areas.
