We are looking for an Engineering Setup Techniciana skilled individual responsible to support tasks for the Engineering Manager Tier 1 or Tier 2 Program Manager and Engineering Associate Supervisor Manufacturing Engineers Program Managers and Process Engineering as assigned by these individuals. Details will encompass Southmedic Proprietary Products and Contract Manufacturing initiatives. Associate will implement process improvements and practices that enable optimum production output. This includes cost reduction process optimization quality improvements and s reduction.
What You Will Do
- Create and implement Engineering Change Notices Detailed Operator Working Instructions Bill of Materials and train production personnel.
- Responsible for providing overall support to the entire operations team to help ensure daily and weekly goals are met with the highest level of Safety Quality Efficiency and Cost.
- Support and help execute the Engineering Manager key objectives.
- Support Supervisors daily with root cause analysis and implementing permanent countermeasures to avoid recurrence of various operations challenges.
- Observe study and bring forward operation improvement themes to the Engineering Manager and when directed implement these or work with other areas of the business to support implementation of improvement ideas.
- Shall be familiar with the Southmedic Quality System mission and values.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Assist personnel in engineering group.
- Improve manufacturing efficiency through elimination of waste
- Identify and deliver manufacturing cost reductions.
- Recommend design and implement changes to current work cell equipment and tooling.
- Assist and provide guidance to the development design and build of new manufacturing products tools and processes.
- Prepare quotations.
- Update or create drawings using SolidWorks.
- Create and timely update project plans using Project Management software.
- Participate as required in PFMEA DFMEA Validations and Risk Management.
- Prepare reports charts and other documentation for engineering projects.
- Investigate and procure manufacturing equipment.
- Control inventory and scheduling of work orders as assigned by Engineering Manager Tier 1 or Vice President of Tier 2 Engineering.
- Ensure all business is performed with attention to detail and followed in accordance with the Southmedic Quality System Mission and Values.
