Job Description:
Perform all aspects of commercial sheet metal and installation including fabrication and assembly of ductwork installing a variety of equipment including fan coils exhaust fans package and split systems VRF/VRV CRAC units piping reheat and air registers. Ability to perform installations in a wide variety of settings including commercial offices hotels multiuse dwellings process and medical installations.
Essential Duties:
- Fabricate and install sheet metal ductwork
- Perform detailed layouts and material takeoffs
- Complete installation on medium and lightcommercial projects
- Setting HVAC equipment duct work hangers and sheet metal fabrication
- Equipment changeouts including duct piping controls startup
- Install VRF/VRV systems
- Be thoroughly familiar with plans specifications and duct installation codes
Experience Required:
- Minimum of five years of demonstrated experience as a sheet metal installer
- Ability to read and understand plans and specifications
- Ability to field measure and assess installation material requirements
- Strong communication skills
Preferred:
- Experience being the lead journeyman in a variety of construction settings
- Current Safety certifications
- Experience training and supervising apprentices
