CBSE PGT Biology Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in Biology to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering highquality instruction to senior secondary students (Classes XI and XII) adhering to the CBSE curriculum. The teacher will foster a stimulating learning environment encourage scientific curiosity and guide students toward academic excellence and holistic development.

Requirements

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Teaching and Instruction:
   

   • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Biology aligned with the CBSE curriculum.
     
   • Use diverse teaching methods to explain concepts in cell biology genetics ecology biotechnology and other related areas.
     
   • Prepare students for CBSE board examinations internal assessments and competitive exams like NEET.
     

2. Curriculum Development:
   

   • Design lesson plans teaching aids and lab activities to enhance understanding and retention.
     
   • Stay updated with CBSE guidelines and implement curriculum changes effectively.
     

3. Student Support:
   

   • Provide individual attention to students to address their academic challenges and foster their potential.
     
   • Mentor and guide students in scientific research projects presentations and competitions.
     

4. Assessment and Evaluation:
   

   • Conduct regular assessments quizzes and tests to monitor students progress.
     
   • Evaluate answer scripts provide constructive feedback and maintain academic records.
     

5. Classroom and Laboratory Management:
   

   • Ensure effective use of laboratory resources for practical demonstrations and experiments.
     
   • Maintain discipline and encourage a positive learning environment.
     

6. Professional Development:
   

   • Participate in faculty meetings workshops and training programs to enhance teaching practices.
     
   • Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary teaching approaches.
     

7. Parental Engagement:
   

   • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding students performance and progress.
     
   • Address any academic or behavioral concerns effectively.
     

Required Qualifications

• Masters degree in Biology or a related field (e.g. Biotechnology Zoology Botany Microbiology).
  
• Bachelor of Education (B.Ed. with specialization in Biology or Life Sciences.
  
• Qualification in CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) or equivalent is preferred.

   • Strong knowledge of Biology concepts recent advancements and CBSE curriculum requirements.
     
   • Proficiency in teaching concepts at the senior secondary level.

   • Ability to employ innovative teaching methods including ICT tools and audiovisual aids.
     
   • Skilled in simplifying complex topics for effective student understanding.
     

3. Communication Skills:
   

   • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities in English.
     
   • Effective in addressing diverse learning needs and styles.

   • Approachability and empathy to connect with students.
     
   • Collaborative mindset for teamwork with colleagues and school administration.
     

5. Technical Skills:
   

   • Proficiency in using MS Office educational software and smart boards.
     
   • Familiarity with online teaching platforms (e.g. Zoom Google Classroom).

   • Expertise in designing question papers model answers and grading systems.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in a reputed CBSE school at the PGT level.
  
• Experience in preparing students for competitive exams like NEET will be an advantage.
