Job Description
We are currently looking for a Spring Technician Leadto join our Assembly Department.
Were Bal Seal Engineering and we create custom sealing connecting conducting andEMI shielding engineered solutions. Our canted coil springs and springenergized seals enhance the performance and reliability of customers products. Were more than a canted coil spring manufacturer. By applying our uniqueBal Seal Canted Coil Spring technologyand material science expertise we provide OEMs and tier suppliers everywhere with innovative customengineered sealing connecting conducting and EMI shielding and grounding solutions.

In many cases weve helped to reshape industry standards or set new ones. You and our customers will work closely together to rapidly apply new solutions even develop new materials in order to meet specific application and manufacturing needs.
This position exists to operate automated machinery for manufacturing.
ESSENTIAL/MAJOR ELEMENTS OF POSITION
- Sets up and operates automated systems to produce spring products that meet engineering drawing requirements and quality standards.
- Performs first article inspection and inprocess quality checks.
- Performs routine operational preventative maintenance requirements.
- Monitors production schedules to ensure production commitments are met.
- Troubleshoots minor equipment issues.
- Assists with process improvement of automated systems and working conditions to increase productivity and efficiency.
- Logs in data entry information for all work orders into the ERP system.
- Ensures cleanliness of machines and surrounding areas.
- Occasionally the incumbent will be asked and expected to perform various miscellaneous and nonstandard duties as required. Such duties are diversified in nature and may be changed from time to time to suit the needs of the company.
Skills Knowledge and Abilities Necessary to Successfully Perform this Position:
- Have good mechanical aptitude
- Familiar with a variety of gaging instruments and methods
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work orders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
- Willingness to learn
Education Level Desired:
- Coursework in electronics robotics or electromechanical systems
- Associates Degree in related degree preferred but not required.
Prior Experience Level Desired:
- 3 years of relevant machine operating experience
- 3 years of experience in a high volume production environment

Pay: $16.00 to $18.00 per hour depending on experience.

The work environment conditions are typical of both an office and a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment ranges from quiet to moderate however hearing protection may be required if employee enters high noise areas as a part of their normal job duties.
