Description
Position Summary:
The Manager Financial Operations is responsible for overseeing key financial processes including accounts receivable premium and administrative billing client funding plan and provider payments vendor payments and broker commission payments. This role requires strong leadership and technical expertise particularly in thirdparty administrator (TPA) operations. The ideal candidate will have prior management experience and be proficient with the Javelina claims system as well as Zelis and VPA payment processors. Additionally they will serve as the subject matter expert for the invoicing platform support system reporting and participate in crosstraining on corporate financial duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Operations & Payment Processing
- Oversee accounts receivable processes ensuring accurate and timely premium and administrative billing.
- Manage client funding and plan expense invoicing ensuring proper reconciliation and compliance.
- Supervise plan and provider payments ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.
- Handle passthrough and other vendor payments ensuring proper approvals and adherence to contractual terms.
- Manage broker commission calculations and payments ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
System & Reporting Expertise
- Act as the subject matter expert on the invoicing platform ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency.
- Utilize Javelina claims system Zelis and VPA payment processors to facilitate accurate financial transactions.
- Generate and analyze financial system reports to support decisionmaking and ensure compliance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within financial operations.
Leadership & CrossFunctional Support
- Lead and mentor financial operations staff providing training and guidance.
- Collaborate with internal departments clients and vendors to resolve financial discrepancies and improve processes.
- Crosstrain on corporate financial duties to ensure operational continuity and flexibility within the finance team.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in financial operations including prior management experience.
- Strong background in thirdparty administrator (TPA) operations.
- Proficiency with Javelina claims system Zelis and VPA payment processors.
- Expertise in accounts receivable billing payment processing and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to work crossfunctionally.
This role is ideal for a detailoriented handson leader with deep experience in financial operations and TPA environments.
