Job Description
We are an afterhours emergency hospital located near the beautiful Bay of Quinte. We have a strong support staff who strive for excellent patient and client care with teamwork and collaboration. Our hospital has everything required to help pets in the community including a diagnostic digital radiograph machine well stocked and laid out treatment area inhouse IDEXX blood machines and more! Our ideal team member loves learning is eager to grow and works well in a team environment. Our hours may be during the evenings and weekends but we are very flexible and will work with you most of our fulltime employees only work 3 days a week.
Enjoy your days off in Zwicks Park which is Bellevilles most popular outdoor recreational area; enjoy hiking biking boating or fishing. Belleville also offers lovely shops and restaurants in the historic and charming downtown area. The low cost of living is also a surprising added benefit! About The Role:
Our ideal Veterinarian (DVM) will have 25 years of experience and can demonstrate an exemplary standard of medicine with proficiency in surgical procedures. The DVM will be largely responsible for clinical work and will combine clinical expertise team work and emotional intelligence to provide excellent veterinary medicine.
We will only consider candidates who hold or are eligible to hold a full General Veterinary License in Ontario at the time of their application.

Hello my name is Megan Pounder. In 2018 I completed a lifelong dream of mine by becoming a veterinarian. After graduation I worked at a regular daytime Veterinary clinic for two years before moving to Quinte Regional Pet Hospital as an afterhours and Emergency Medicine Doctor. Since joining the Quinte Regional Animal Hospital I have come to love the ability to connect with owners and their pets on a deeper level addressing not only their present concerns but all of the animals health concerns since there are no appointment time slots and time limitations. Since starting here I can make a huge impact not only in the short term but the long term for both the owner and the patient. On top of this I work with an amazing team of Registered Veterinary Technologists and Assistants who make doing this much easier as they go above and beyond not only with the patients but also to help me perform my best. Plus they always do it enthusiastically and readily making our clients and patients experience that much better. We are so lucky to be servicing this beautiful area full of many fantastic indoor and outdoor opportunities that allow everyone from every walk of life with every type of passion to thrive.
