Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough global structural assessments of ships;
- Analyze and understand the implications on both longitudinal and transverse strength ensuring the structural integrity of the vessel;
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to contribute to feasibility studies;
- Perform detailed calculations manually and using specialized software to assess the strength of ship structures;
- Address various structural requests including but not limited to heavy equipment positioning on offshore ship decks seafastenings calculations and global/local assessments for conversions;
- Ensure that all structural designs and assessments adhere to applicable rules and regulations.
- Technical knowledge & soft skills:
- You have at least a Bachelors degree in a technical field preferably in Naval Architecture or Mechanical Engineering;
- You are a Structural Analyst with 2 years of relevant experience in calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) in the shipbuilding/offshore industry;
- You are familiar with structural and FEA software such as ANSYS Workbench MARS or STEEL;
- Knowledge of the rules of classification societies (Lloyds BV DNV);
- You have excellent knowledge of English (spoken and written).
