Head Chef Care Home

Hours: 16 per hour
Our client is looking for a skilled and experienced Head Chef to join their team and oversee the kitchen operations ensuring the delivery of highquality nutritious and delicious meals for the residents in a care home environment. The ideal candidate should have a strong passion for culinary excellence excellent leadership abilities and the capacity to foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
What Were Looking For
- Proven expertise as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a similar setting.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification.
- Knowledge of nutrition dietary requirements and food safety regulations.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments in the care home.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and procedures.
- Capability to train and supervise kitchen staff.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities
- Supervising all kitchen activities including menu planning food preparation and presentation.
- Ensuring adherence to nutrition dietary requirements and food safety standards.
- Leading and guiding kitchen staff offering necessary training and supervision.
- Collaborating with other departments to guarantee smooth dining experiences for residents.
- Managing inventory controlling food costs and upholding high cleanliness and organization standards in the kitchen.
