Founded in 1968 to meet the postsecondary and continuing education needs of Cecil County residents Cecil College has been serving the community and shaping its future for more than 50 years. The College is governed by a Board of Trustees appointed by the governor. The Colleges fifth president Dr. Mary Way Bolt reports directly to the Board of Trustees.
Cecil College is centrally located in Marylands most northeastern county just one half mile from Interstate 95. It is easily accessible from Philadelphia and Baltimore as well as from Wilmington Delaware.
With a diverse student population Cecil College enrolls approximately 2500 credit students and 3400 noncredit students. Cecil offers associate degrees certificate programs and noncredit classes. Cecil offers a variety of associate degree and certificate programs.

The Continuing Education and Workforce Development division at Cecil College is looking for a parttime instructor for a Certified Manufacturing Associate training program.
Schedule: 12/week 69 pm 46 hours/week
Summary of Job Description
Cecil College is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable manufacturing instructor to facilitate and guide learners through our Certified Manufacturing Associate training program. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintenance and production within a manufacturing facility along with a strong understanding of manufacturing principles and practices. The candidate should also possess excellent communication and facilitation skills and a passion for helping individuals develop the skills necessary for a successful career in the manufacturing sector. In this role the instructor will support learners through the online curriculum provide clarification and guidance foster engagement and ensure participants gain the knowledge and understanding required to achieve the Certified Manufacturing Associate credential.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a manufacturing environment (e.g. assembler production operator technician supervisor).
Strong understanding of fundamental manufacturing concepts and practices covered in the Certified Manufacturing Associate program (tool and equipment basics additive manufacturing blueprint reading CNC basics inspection lean principles math fundamentals measurement and inspection quality basics robotics awareness safety protocols troubleshooting fundamentals).
Excellent communication interpersonal and facilitation skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely.
Experience with online learning platforms and virtual communication tools.
Additional responsibilities include: Supervising and monitoring students use of tools and equipment. Observing and evaluating students work to determine progress providing feedback and making suggestions for improvement. Maintain attendance and administrative forms.
Requirements
Ability to motivate and support learners with diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Evening availability required.
Teaching or training experience highly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Physical Demands: This position classifies the physical exertion requirements as sedentary work involving lifting no more than 10 pounds at a time and occasionally lifting or carrying articles like docket files ledgers and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one which involves sitting a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met.
Work Environment:
Work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as office or meeting and training rooms e.g. use of safe workplace practices with office equipment avoidance of trips and falls and observance of fire and building safety regulations and traffic signals when driving.
The hourly rate for this position is $45/hr.
