JOB SUMMARY:Performs a variety of maintenance and repair work requiring the knowledge of one or more skilled trades (e.g. construction painting electrical masonry plumbing carpentry automotive or small equipment repair serviceetc. under the general support of the Director of Operations and Operations Manager to help maintain the Institution for students faculty/staff and the general public in safe and operating condition and help on preventive maintenance programs as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and experience equivalent to:
Education: High School diploma and/or equivalent required.
Experience: Job related experience within facilities or equipment maintenance fields is helpful.
License: Valid Drivers License and Evidence of Insurability
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee must be able to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must have the ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds without assistance. Team lifting maybe required from time to time. Specific vision abilities include ability to distinguish the nature of objects by using the eye.
The usual and customary methods of performing the jobs functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting carrying pushing and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; frequent stooping kneeling crouching and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 10 sitting 40 walking and 50 standing. The job is performed under some temperature extremes and under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Employee is responsible for performing duties in an environment that is free from discrimination intimidation coercion or harassment including sexual harassment. Work is performed indoors in an office setting and outside of the office at various local community outreach sites. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate.
SAFETY:
Assists in the creation of a culture of safety and environmental protection by performing work safely in accordance with departmental safety procedures. Operates equipment safely and reports any unsafe work conditions or practice to supervisor.

Ensure compliance with the LECOM Computer and Network Usage Policy General Guidelines for Faculty and Staff.
