This is a revolving Lecturer Pool for the College of Letters Arts and Sciencesand applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.If there is a course opening and your qualifications match a course and the minimum requirements you may be contacted at that time.
Salary/Pay Range: $5000 per fourcredit course. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications.
Summary
The Languages and Cultures Department at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs is searching for a temporary nontenure track Lecturer to teach RUSS 1010 Beginning Russian I for SPRING 2025 and possible future dates if necessary. Qualified applicants will hold at least a masters degree in Russian or closely related language with an advanced knowledge and literature of the Russian language. Note: Languages and Cultures is open to having someone teach it in hybrid or online modality but prefer inperson.
Essential Functions
The duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
Teaching writing and Russian composition classes - Grading meeting with students and any other requirements for conducting coursework for students
- Conducting research on teaching methods materials and Russian languages that can be used in the classroom
- Developing lesson plans and curricula based on the needs of individual students

- Masters degree in Russian language or comparison postBachelor Russian language achieved literature certificate(s) is required.
- Candidates must have current Teaching Certificate/License.
- Proven written and verbal proficiency in Russian is essential.
