Commercial Manager (m/w/d) Ammonia

What awaits you:

As our new Commercial Manager (m/w/d) for Ammonia you will help us to analyse the low and zero carbon ammonia market potential in Germany and adjacent regions. You will identify marketing opportunities and start building our customer base for Ammonia. As a relevant part of the New Energy team at Mabanaft you will be fronting the companys efforts to identify and develop new and existing clients transitioning into Ammonia as a hydrogen carrier for their future sustainable fuel needs. Based in Hamburg Germany you will be working with a global team to grow Mabanafts clean fuels offerings and be at the forefront of the energy transition.

Your strong business development drive together with your experience in the distribution of chemicals will help us to grow this line of business.

Your tasks in a nutshell:

  • Run ammonia market analysis and segmentation to understand and define low/zero carbon ammonia volume needs and price sensivities by segment such as chemical industry utilities or shipping

  • Development of routetomarket strategies per market segment identified

  • Identify and Develop a portfolio of existing and potential future customers in several segments with a need for clean and sustainable Ammonia and manage the relationships

  • Promote Mabanafts products and services addressing our customers requirements

  • Prepare and execute commercial negotiations in line with existing laws Mabanaft guidelines and aligned with other Mabanafts commercial functions

  • Close coordination between the Ammonia and Hydrogen teams and alignment with inhouse commercial functions

  • Participation in market and industry events and networking as well as business meetings with prospective clients

What helps you to fulfil this role:

  • Experience: 10 years workingexperience as a business development manager sales executive or a relevant commercial role

  • Market insights: Experience in the energy or petrochemicals markets

  • Key Skills: Experience in development of new markets demanding industrial customers and Project Management
